Our activities are designed to help students achieve proficiency in the Mathematics and Language Arts Literacy Academic Standards within each State we are servicing. Our curricula materials are custom designed specifically to correlate with each servicing State’s academic and individual District curricula. One of our most successful and highly used curricula is our AfterSchool KidzLit and AfterSchool KidzMath by Developmental Studies. Our Math program spans all the major math strands with topics drawn from the Principles and Standards of School Mathematics (2000), and it’s Curriculum Focal Points (2006). Alignment with the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM) standards and alignment with each servicing state ensures that our students will be working on content that is similar to what they see in class in the context of engaging and fun activities.

Our programs are designed particularly for children who demonstrate math and reading difficulties and are performing below grade level in these subjects. Diagnostic assessments, routine evaluative methods, pre-test and post-test provide students, parents, teachers and school district officials with evidence of progress. Instructional staff provides regular and consistent feedback to the students’ family and all other stakeholders. In our program, students are provided with consistent praise, encouragement and multiple opportunities for success.

AfterSchool KidzLit Program

The AfterSchool KidzLit program is an after-school literacy program that fosters young people’s motivation to read and helps them develop their reading skills and competencies. this academic focus is carried out through engaging activities that spark young people’s interest in the enjoyment of reading, and that are appropriate for the informality of after-school settings.The experience of reading books and hearing books read aloud in a supportive context promotes academic development by exposing young people to the structure and syntax of the written word, building their vocabulary and background knowledge , and offering them unpressured opportunities to practice and further dvelop the reading comprehension skills they learn in school.

AfterSchool KidzMath Program

Research-based ad created specifically for use in after-school settings, the AfterSchool KidzMath program is a mathematics enrichment curriculum designed to promote the mathematical learning and social development of children in grades K-6. Closely aligned with the standards of the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics, the program includes cooperative games and literature-based story guide activities that give children opportunities to practice and build key mathematical skills and concepts in fun, engaging ways, and become confident math learners.
